Environmental Sound Installation for Flower Speakers
Myosotis is designed to harmonize with its host environment, adapting the work to its surroundings, whether indoors or outdoors: fields, gardens, churches, industrial spaces, galleries, and more. The idea is to invest a location for an extended, continuous period, transforming it into a poetic space where time feels suspended, inviting contemplation and daydreaming.
Myosotis offers an intimate, sensory experience of reality, encouraging listeners to hear both the sounds emitted from the speakers and those present in their immediate surroundings. It is both an experience of space through sound and of sound through space. Within this setting, the listener is free to move as they wish: wander, pause, sit, lie down… and listen. Through this interaction with the space and their own spatial experience, each listener creates their own narrative temporality.
Myosotis speaks to the beauty and fragility of our auditory world, integrating an approach to sound ecology. It invites us to listen to the world differently—fully, with both body and awareness. This experience becomes an acoustic window into another world: that of environmental listening.
